Wellbeing

Effective care and a culture of well-being pave the way for thriving learners and compassionate citizens

We are immensely proud that our care and support have been rated outstanding in all areas by the KHDA for the last ten years. Our Wellbeing department focuses on nurturing happy, resilient, and adaptable learners. We prioritise well-being through the Cognita Be Well Charter, supporting healthy choices and social engagement. Additionally, our safeguarding measures ensure a safe and secure environment for all students to thrive.

Ensuring every child is happy and feels supported.

At Pakistan Education Academy, we take immense pride in our pastoral care, ensuring our students are fully supported in a nurturing, happy, and healthy environment. Our dedicated teachers offer personalised attention, guiding each child through their learning journey while fostering resilience and adaptability. We recognise that emotional wellbeing is the cornerstone of effective education, and we know that happy, confident children are better equipped for success. Life brings challenges for everyone, including children. Our compassionate teachers are always available to help students navigate their ups and downs, creating an atmosphere of understanding and encouragement that builds self-esteem and resilience.

Good emotional and physical health is the key foundation

At Pakistan Education Academy, we are dedicated to fostering the wellbeing of our students in alignment with the Cognita Be Well Charter. We actively uphold the Charter’s six pillars, promoting healthy lifestyle habits and holistic development.

This includes encouraging nutritious food choices and incorporating regular physical activity into daily routines to support physical health and reduce sedentary behaviour. Our emphasis on social connection is reflected through initiatives that promote social responsibility and enterprise.

Through our partnership with the Sparkle Foundation, students and families participate in meaningful giving and service activities, enriching their personal growth while making a positive impact on the wider community.

Safeguarding commitment

At Pakistan Education Academy, we are fully committed to safeguarding the welfare of every child. We recognise our responsibility to ensure that all students have equal rights to protection from harm, abuse, and neglect and the fundamental right to feel safe and secure within the school environment.

We actively maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere where children are empowered to thrive and reach their full potential—physically, socially, emotionally, and academically. Through robust safeguarding practices, continuous staff training, and a strong culture of care, we prioritise the wellbeing of every child as a cornerstone of our educational mission.

Safeguarding principles

Our principles of safeguarding are universal and apply to all Cognita schools. The Cognita Safeguarding Specialist Team has developed them and takes account of the International Taskforce for Child Protection, the United Nations Rights of the Child, and globally leading practice.
